Not long now... (and yay for Batman!)

Thu Oct 8, 2009, 9:31 PM
In less than a month I'll be done with my university course for good. Which is awesome 'cause I'll finally have time to pursue the things I really want to pursue. (I'm so OVER uni... I'm bored by the lack of 2D artness!)

Can't wait till I'll be drawing more again. There is a certain Deus Ex mod poster I can't wait to work on again and finish. *grins*

See you all soon.

Oh and I'm on a Batman high right now. Re-living my childhood and all that... :)

Wow! check out that guys galleries, he does the bman, tim burton lara croft and is soo talented!

Oh my gosh. I just finished watching the week 5 video tutorials for the photoshop class. They were the same thing over and over again. So boring! And he seems to think they are actually nice looking arrangements. However, the fundamentals/tools he teaches are pretty useful... I just wish we could make more fun and interesting things. :( *siiiigh*

curse the online course of boringness!

Hello! I just saw your new turnarounds in the game developement art category, and decided to take a look at the rest of your gallery. You're an amazing character artist! I love how your characters look the same from one angle to the next, which I could never accomplish. And the characters themselves are unique and interesting, which is always important. I hope to see more in the future :D

many thanks for the kind words!

yeah turn arounds are very hard to do imo, so it's good to hear mine look consistent

thanks again! i feel very encouraged :D
:iconsaunteringstep:
Yeah, turnarounds are probably one of the hardest things to draw. At least for me. But you make it look so easy!

i do? I should show you my work in progress sketches of those turnarounds... my best friend is cop, paste and horizontal flip to get the front and back views matching up in proportions :D
:iconsaunteringstep:
Yeah, that's a good strategy. From the front to the back, the profile has to be exactly the same in an orthographic view, just with a horizontal flip, so that's a great starting point. Every once in a while I draw to draw some turnarounds, but I'm never satisfied. If I could do it, I'd have a lot more character models in my arsenal, that's for sure.
